Why isn't there a better system?
I find myself asking this about so many things, but especially for our elder care. Why don't we have something streamlined? Especially in the U.S., but I've read experiences from countries around the world that express it's hard to find adequate care.

Healthcare, technology, and information in general has seen exponential growth recently, so it's natural to wonder why the effects haven't reached everyone. Of course the answer is probably money (remember I'm a SLP not an economist), but it is important to remember there are organizations and individuals everywhere working for the greater good. Look into your local (state, city, county) resources. Plus, your libraries, newspapers, or public radio might offer support in one way or another. Something like a support group for caregivers of people with dementia can be a game-changer.
